About the Farm

At Q Farms, we raise a diverse mix of animals on perennial pastures. Our goal is to balance the nutritional needs of our community with the needs of our land. With this in mind, we continue to diversify our products while working in harmony with our current offerings. We proudly raise the following animals and crops:

Chickens

Q Farms chickens are humanely raised on our pastures, rotating daily to ensure access to fresh grass and other forage.  Our chickens are raised without hormones or antibiotics, and are fed local, non-GMO grain to supplement the grass and insects that chickens are designed to eat.

We raise chickens for both meat and eggs, and both kinds of birds spend their entire lives on pasture.

Cattle

We raise 100% grass fed and finished Devon cows. In order to mimic the natural grazing behavior of cattle, our grazing rotations are intensively managed. Our cattle will sometimes move into new paddocks multiple times in one day!

Pigs

Q Farms pigs are pasture raised and fed a healthy diet of non-GMO grains to supplement the grass, roots, dairy, apples, nuts and comfrey they also eat.  Our pigs are rotated into new areas every one to two weeks so they always have something to forage!

Bees

Q Farms bees have access to our rolling pastures, fruit & nut orchards and woods. Their raw, unfiltered honey is both delicious and healthful, containing traces of pollen, propolis & live enzymes. Try our spring and fall harvests to find your favorite!

Nut Trees

Q Farms is proud to be home to around 1,500 chestnut, hazelnut, and walnut trees. The orchards were strategically planted on the contours of our land with the goal of benefiting our pastures, providing shade and enrichment for the animals, and producing a nutrient-dense protein source for our community.
